benefits ? Here's my answer:
You will receive the "Suribachi Sentinel"(news letter), you'll
receive a list of other Iwo Jima Vets members (with all the info
such as when, rank,what, etc.) Plus you'll receive all the info on
the REUNIONS (someplace different each year). We still have a
few of the original "invaders" and a lot since, including all
branches, some non-military, spouses and family. I've been on
the list for several years, however with work and recently health,
I never made a reunion. THIS YEAR I promised my wife and
myself no matter where; we were going this year ! Attendance at
the reunion and membership has been going down...I've made
a personal commitment to try and increase both ! I started by
posting a
newWEBsite,emailing"Classmates.com/military/iwojima, plus
other news media. You can SHARE pictures, Certificates,
memories...
make NEW friends, and maybe see some 'ol buddies !
If I can answer any more questions let me know ! Oh ! I was on
the Black Pearl 8-67 thru 8-68 at the Coast Guard Loran Sta.
